Navigation, or how to find what you want on the Website
Our parish is made up of the locations of Holy Cross, St. Catherine and St. Mark, all of whom have their own websites. Our new website, www.ourladyontheriver.net, consists of common items. There is a link to each location on the parish home page. Each location has links back to the parish for information that is common to all locations, such as the Publications page. For example, you are a member of Holy Cross and have misplaced your bulletin from three weeks ago. You can go onto the Holy Cross website and click on the Publications link from the menu on the right hand side of the page. This will take you to the Publications page on the Our Lady on the River website where where you can find the specific bulletin.
Or, you would like to right an email to Father Jim, our pastor. Since he is the pastor for the parish, he would be listed on the Contact page for the parish, which you can find on the Parish Contact page. Or, you can go to the contact page on the right hand menu and click the link to the Parish Contact page.
Please help us by sending an email to the webmaster with your suggestions as to how to make the navigation clearer.
"Hot links" When a word is highlighted and underlined (as in the word "contact" in the previous paragraph), it normally means that there is a link to another page. When you "mouse over," (move the mouse over the word), click on the word or phrase to be taken to the new page. This also works with many images or symbols.
There is a special link on the Holy Cross, St. Catherine and St. Mark home page. This is the "favicon" located in the upper left hand corner of the page. A favicon (short for "favorites icon"), also known as a page icon, is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage. (The Free Dictionery by Farlex)
